We observe this World Nature Conservation Day today on the 28th July through the launch of our Green Safari Board Game with the objective of increasing awareness about and protecting the natural resources that various accommodations here in Namibia are bestowed with. We find it is necessary for us, our valued guests and our establishment partners to understand what ‘Sustainable Tourism’ in Namibia truly means and also it is important to inculcate environment-friendly habits as being part of a Green Safari in whatever way.  The Pack Safari Sustainable Project and Marketing department teamed up and created an educational board game with the aim of creating awareness and setting standards for safari accommodations in a playful way. Some simple practices that can contribute to a green safari are presented through playing this Green Safari Board Game. Examples like:

  • Help in conservation activities in your area / surrounding natural areas.
  • Wise use of resources.
  • Efficient use of water & energy at home.
  • Be a responsible tourist by practicing eco-tourism.
  • Avoid littering around.
  • Appreciate nature and keep vigilance on surrounding nature destruction.

This game can be purchased for N $ 30.-. at Pack Safari where part of the income will be for the benefit of nature conservation.
